Hey Fred, what a pleasant surprise--I miss having the time to be here, I do check my e-mails --but I haven't been posting any art work. The apt. I revamped sold and it prompted me to do my house over --which has been grueling and heart wrenching going through a lot stuff, but it's also been positive and productive. I recently started a new art piece that came out of this whole process. I will try and post it soon in WIP, Ben has left me a message nudging me to post, so it's nice to have the encouragement from BC friends. What's doing with your up coming show Fred, are you getting anxious at this point, or do you have it all under control-- and you were also starting a new job the last we talked, how's it going?

hi Joann. I'm glad Ben and i were able to draw you in again 8-) Preparations for the show are going well. The art is mostly ready. I'd like to make a couple more paintings and print some of my digital work that is part of the flying theme as well.. I still need to make business cards, and stuff like that. The gallery takes care of the advertising, invitations, and things like that. The new job is a HUGE challenge. Some days I want to go into hibernation for a few months, other days I feel excited and challenged. The work is really pushing all my anxiety buttons, which is difficult, but helps me to see that I have grown too. looking forward to see what you've been working on!

I'm sure teaching really confirms what you know which is great but I can also understand where it would also challege and make you question it.

The anxiety is caused more by the unknown... so many unknowns... new career (no longer teaching, doing school counseling now), new population, new agency, two new schools, being faced by issues for the first time, like bullying, abuse, family dynamics, teacher dynamics, etc, etc, etc, etc, ect.

Wow Fred, sounds like you need a psychology degree for this job.

And a social work degree too. 8-)
