I dream only of you...

I walked slowly down the street, my collar turned up against the cold wind, stopping occaisionally to peer through store windows. Thoughts of you raced through my mind, I had to find you, see you, touch you, taste you. The days had passed like years since we last had our rendevous in that old rundown motel outside of town. The snow began falling harder and the cold was almost unbearable, when I caught a glimpse of you in a storefront. My heart began to race and I ran for the door. I ha...

I wonder what would happen if we all just accepted each other and our differences? There are a great many people I admire, who don’t share my political views or my religious views or my lifestyle views. And you know what? It doesn’t matter. I still love and respect them and we share many other things in common. We love art, music, travel, family, friends. We all have the same basic wants, needs and desires. We all want Peace, Love, Food, Shelter, Happiness. Why do we continue to al...

The Dark Man

No matter where I go, he goes too Follows me, clings to me but weightless Affects all he touches, blocking light and warmth Draing the vibrancy and color from all he meets. He is, I am, we are He changes form and slant depending on where I go At times inconspicuous, at times emboldened and strong But always, yes always, there. I have spent time alone with him gotten to know him on a deeper darker level He wants what he cant and shouldnt have I reign him in with only my will...

A couple of weeks ago when the tragic shooting occured in Colorado, I saw it posted all over facebook. As well it should have been. Today, after the tragic shooting at the Sikh Temple in Wisconsin, I have not noticed any friends and family commenting about this. Is this less an atrocity than the shooting that affected mostly white Americans? I have waited and waited to post this because I am so angry and sad about the whole ordeal. America has become a country of hate, alienatin...
Sands of Time
Posted July 12, 2011
Time is infinite, from the dateless past throughout all eternity. Each of our lives are but mere moments in Time's great span Whether we be young or old, rich or poor, great or small Each of us leaves behind footprints across the sands of time. Footprints that perhaps another can use to find their way through this world and what it has to offer. The sands of Time change with the tides and they are irreversible We must strive to leave our imprints here For we shall not pass this w...

Bear Me Away on Wings of Stone

Bear me away on wings of stone. Let the candles burn when I am gone. Embraced by darkness, consumed by night. On wings of stone to give me flight. RR10,2011

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out -- Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out -- Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out -- Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me." MARTIN NIEMÖLLER
