I work in my studio only with reconstructed tools such as goose quills, dividers, a pen knife, very fine sable or squirrel hair brushes and the like. The stages of work are those which had been passed down to us through the centuries. I'm finishing every work in a way it would have been done several hundred years ago. ABOUT MEDIEVAL STYLE ART

In late 1991 I opened my studio for medieval style book illustration and calligraphy. My illustrations and calligraphy pages are on the whole characterized and inspired by illuminated manuscripts of the gothic era. In all my works I took the subtle connection of the characteristic lines of the playful and stylized medieval painting with my own ideas and contemporary subjects as my aim.
