Digital Painting

I have been looking at a lot of work that has been pretty mind blowing and then I read in the description: Digital Painting. Somehow I feel disappointed, yet I know nothing about digital painting. I see amazing displays of realism and complex color relationships in some of these digital paintings, but I wonder why artists are moving away from the physical art of making a painting with their hands? While I am all for art making being open to a wider audience, the part of me that does not know ...

Finding Time to Be an Artist

For the past 5 years or so finding time to be an artist has been the greatest challenge. Along with the challenge of concentrated time to make art is finding a voice with which to speak visually! What is going on my life that I can use as fuel for expression? How do I feel about what is going on in the world? How I can use that to enrich my personal vision in my art making? A body of work???
