My practice is not chosen. It was inflicted on me as a fulfilling need either at birth or at the birth of time.
That's not 2 say I don't embrace it, but I'm not eager to know it very well. Georgia O'Keeffe said, "I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way -- things I had no words for".
My practice is to relearn intrinsic modes of expression beyond thought and then somehow give voice to them anew.
Technology seems to be at the very heart of being human and it has drawn me toward making that requires difficult mediums which rely heavily on complexity in experience, resources, and process.
In quality and nuance, my iterations attempt to improve on the prints left by using smoke to stencil one's hand on cave walls 30,000 years ago. - Thomas Kite, 2009
