Hi Dear curator, about an hour ago I printed a long letter to jeankarakache. and at the end I clicked on some button, I thing it was saying REPLY NOW (of course I am not so sure). but any way after a while I tryed to bring back my letter in order to review it, but Impossible,! it seems that has disappeared ? Is it possible that it is saved some place? please help me. Thanks Avo
thecurator Replied: September 01, 2010
I'm not sure I fully understanding Printing a Letter in relation to the site. Whether you were posting a comment, or sending a message, I'm not sure how you tried to Bring it Back. Send me a message with more details if you'd like, but it's possible that it is gone. We don't have a way for you to write something, and then recover it if you navigate away from the page.

Hi i'm new to this site, think it's wicked. I have clicked on the feature my artwork folder button, next to my folder not actually sure what that does?
thecurator Replied: August 30, 2010
This sets the Default folder for your profile. So if you have multiple folders, you can choose which one displays first for your profile page.

Hi. I hope you've noticed already that there are some spammers over here. So I was wondering if you have any form of block them on this site. Just asking. Last spam message I received was from the "sussy4u" account. I'm sure you are very busy, but should take note of this.
thecurator Replied: August 25, 2010
Never too busy for spammers. We've already blocked this user and removed the spam messages. Thank you for helping us keep bluecanvas free from these types of activities. It's tough to keep everyone with bad intentions out, so definitely let us know when these things happen. Thank you.

Congrats on this amazing website and also the magazine, I bought vol. 5 and was just happy I did, it was a matter of just checking the cover and I knew I was taking it with me, let along the great work as images and text were wonderful. I just signed up last night after a month of whether I should sign or not and I decided I got to do it. I am happy to be here to show my stuff but most importantly to see the great work of other artists.
avoshahinian  Posted: August 21, 2010
I joined to your wonderful "Site" about a month ago, and now I proudly call it " Bluecanvas Academy Of Fine Arts " , and I am very pleased of becoming a member of this gorgeous familly. And besides enjoying, I allso learn and gain more knowledge by walking through its vast galleries of magnificent Art works, watching, analizing, examining their artistic nature. I bought your Mag. #5 from Borders, I am enjoing it too. At the begining I used to ask my questions from my friend Maestro Zareh, he gave me the necessary advise and directions with great patience, but now my recent queststions:. #1- Is there any way to shorten an already registered name, like . ...com /avoshahinian to just ....com /avo ? #2 How are the Blog entries work ? would it be accessible for every body? or it is personal.? #3- Why some of the questions asked by Artists remain unanswered from you ?. I apologize for my bad English. Thank you very much & with my best regards Avo
thecurator Replied: August 23, 2010
Thanks Avo. I usually try to respond to any inquiries as quickly as possible. If an answer requires some detailed information, I usually just send the artist a message instead of posting here.
thecurator Replied: August 23, 2010
We don't usually like to change usernames if we don't have to. Because we also have a publication, there may be times where we publish a username, but then it gets changed. But if you would like to change it, send me a message letting me know what you'd like to change it to.
thecurator Replied: August 23, 2010
Blog entries are public. You can write about whatever you'd like, and people can read it.
lindsaycriswell  Posted: August 20, 2010
what does the nominate button do? why do most of the artists have them and some don't? this site is truly an amazing thing. the mag is awesome too. anytime i am having a blah day i just get on here and click around at some amazing art and people and it makes me sublimely happy. hip hip hooray for blue canvas!
thecurator Replied: August 23, 2010
The nominate button casts a vote to consider that artist to be Featured on bluecanvas.com. It's available on every artist profile page. You can only vote for that artist once per month, and you won't see the link on your own profile page (so you can't vote for yourself) - I hope that helps. Thanks!
lindsaycriswell Replied: August 24, 2010
It does thanks so very much! Appreciate the answer and your time.

I am Rebecca Gabriel. I just signed up last night and already have gotten 33 stars and 38 hits. How are people finding me? I am having trouble even finding myself in "The Gallery"....it keeps saying make a wider search and then only "quick views" come up. How do you give someone a star. What does it mean? I love Blue Canvas! Thank you - Rebecca
thecurator Replied: August 23, 2010
It depends on the keywords you're searching for. The quick view is just an option. You can click on the actual thumbnail and view the Art Detail page where you can see the full image, comment, get more details about the art, give stars and collect your favorite pieces. Thanks for the compliments.
slickrickarw  Posted: August 07, 2010
would love to see work up close...awesome work..:)
troopersmom  Posted: August 07, 2010
Hi! Great site! How do I give a star to someone? Thanks.
52eggplantscom Replied: August 15, 2010
yes, I was thinking the same. How do you?
thecurator Replied: August 23, 2010
Stars are given to Artworks. The star icon is available on the Art Detail page. So just click on an artwork, and if you like it, you can click the Star to give them one.

Hello Curator, How do I post a blurb? and how is this different from a blog? Thanks Arturo.
thecurator Replied: August 23, 2010
A blurb is just like your status. To change it, just click inside the Speech Bubble under your Profile Pic on the My Canvas page. A blog is an actual blog post, where you can write as much as you want.
fortinero  Posted: July 26, 2010

Hi! I would like to know what does "request failed" means in the process of adding peers..thanks!
thecurator Replied: April 15, 2010
It most likely means that the request is already pending, or has already been made and is awaiting approval

Dear artists, I hope you are doing great. Bluecanvas is a great place to show our art and to meet and communicate with other artists. If we all invite our artist friends to join Bluecanvas, then our artworks will have much much more exposure, we will benefit with a little effort. I have more than 50 friends already joined. I am very happy being here, I have met many many new friend , very talented artists. Let us help each other, let us grow together. Good luck to you all. Thank you Bluecanvas.

How does selling art work? I want to know, specifically, whether I provide my own print or does Blue Canvas take care of that?
thecurator Replied: March 01, 2010
Currently, artwork for sale is handled privately between buyer and seller. So you would provide your own print, or original. But we do have some new features we've been planning to address that.

Thank you for your fantastic magazine and website. I have a question about content. My paintings and sculpture focus conceptually on the abject, and contain imagery that some people consider sexual and or inappropriate. I would like to enter your contest for issue #3 entitled "Solace". I would love to be a part of your contest, but only if you feel that it is an appropriate venue. Thank you for your consideration. If you like my work, thank you, that makes me happy. If you find my work inappropriate or offensive, that's the idea...I am still happy.

I replied to one of the comments to my photos, and I guess I hit the enter button multiple times before completing my response, and there are now multimple (incomplete) replies displayed in there. I tried to delete the extra ones, but without any luck. Is there any way to do so? Thank you , Steppwf.
