About me

As a survivor of censorship and repression, I love celebrating my freedom to express my deepest passions and convictions through visual art, writing, and movies.

As a survivor of censorship and repression, I love celebrating my freedom to express my deepest passions and convictions through visual art, writing, and movies.

Beginning at age seven, I was formally trained in traditional oil techniques and later attended The School of Visual Arts in New York City (1970-71). During the 70’s up until the late 80’s I exhibited acrylic and oils in Montreal and New York, and presently reside on the west coast of Florida.

Since the advent of image editing software, I have turned more to creative digital painting and photography striving to fuse these into an art-form worthy of the distinction traditional painters deserve.

Using various visual formats, I showcase my digital paintings, poetry, other mixed media images, by creating multimedia videos. They are available for viewing at: http://www.youtube.com/user/Thespadecaller.
