When Rosanne was 8 years old she went to Disney World with her family. On Main Street, there was a little booth where someone was lampworking. That was it for her! It was magic! She begged her parents to let her watch. Thankfully, they agreed. Ever since then, she has been fascinated with glass and its movement.
This fascination was finally fulfilled when a serious ankle injury put her on crutches for three years and still impedes daily life. It forced her into an early retirement from her career. In 2004 she turned to her childhood love of glass and all things that sparkle, to bring a brightness back into her life she had feared she had lost due to this injury. A visit to an open house at Urban Glass fueled her fire to create in glass. A start up glass kit and some glass books and videos have turned into quite an adventure for her.

Rosanne creates one of a kind glass sculptures, jewelry, gift items, clocks and mixed media art. She specializes in aquatic life, helicopter and Rosanimal TM sculpture. The last of which combines a twist of tongue with a twist of glass to brighten your day.
Rosanne Palumbo lives and creates in Deer Park Long Island NY. Although she is a graduate of Queens College, Rosanne is mainly a self-taught glass artist. She combined art courses from college with glass books and glass making videos to learn her skills. In 2005 Rosanne studied with Vittorio Costantini in Corning NY, whom she initially met during a trip to Murano Italy, where she observed him and other master glass artists at work. That same year, she also studied Venetian goblet technique during a workshop with Eric Goldshmidt in Corning NY. Rosanne attended the Glass Art Society conference in New Orleans in 2004, and the Art Glass Invitational in Pennsylvania in 2006 and 2007. She completed workshops with Robert Mickelsen and Emilio Santini at Tecnolux in Brooklyn NY in 2007.
