I am a freelance illustrator and visual artist specializing in book cover illustrations for the genres of Fiction, Literature, and Science Fiction. I received my BFA in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. I completed an internship with Communication Design Inc. under the tutelage of acclaimed illustrator Robert Meganck, and during the Summer of 2010 I attended the highly revered Illustration Academy. As a student I was the recipient of the 2010 Mallory Callan Scholarship, the 2010 Richard Carlyon Scholarship, and had my work accepted into both the 2009 and 2010 VCU Arts Juried Student Competitions.

I work comfortably with a wide array of media, but overall my work tends to be a marriage of traditional drawing/painting tools and techniques with the ever-evolving realm of digital media. I believe both methods have their strengths, and I often couple them together to achieve the final resulting image.
