Thanks for your comments on my work. I'm using a graphics tablet and virtual brushes, etc for my digital paintings. The stylus allows subtle, pressure sensitive control, making digital painting feel as "hands on" as painitng with acrylics. I began this piece with an all over dark texture and created the face with lightening, cloning, erasing, and painting virtual tools -- similar to mezzotint printmaking, pulling an image from a "dark field".
