I recently started doing paper-cut work, and I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me. What do you use to attach your layers together? Also, what type of paper do you suggest using? Your work is very inspiring, and it would mean so much to here back! --Hana.
hey Hana, Sorry for the late response I have been away for awhile. I use Bazzil Scrap Booking paper it has a heavy weight numerous colors and is archival. I use polystyrene for spacers and an archival glue called 3 n 1 glue.

I love the role that color plays in your work. The spreading shape is reminiscent of some of Matthew Richie's work. I love the feel of the finished work hovering between painting and relief sculpture, too.
Thanks so much. Love the work of Matthew Richie and Sarah Sze, Mia Pearlman, Judy Phaff any artist who hovers in between genres.
this is wonderful!
Thanks so much! It's taken awhile to get to this point and I'm excited to get bigger and more complicated!
great work. i'm your clarksvillian neighbor at austin peay. i really wanted to go to mtsu though...
I actually came back to teach at MTSU after my tenure in the MFA program at SCAD. Austin Peay is a great school. I actually spoke on a paper art panel with a professor who teaches at Peay. Love your work!
i have a friend that got her bfa in graphic design at SCAD. if it's a panel for paper art, you must have spoken with Kell Black? thanks, your work is pretty astounding also. The manifest Gallery in cincinnati, oh recently had a show where there was a cut paper piece i think you'd enjoy. it seemed to put the paper on it's edge. here it is, jif you're interested: http://www.aeqai.com/images/standley_eric.jpg
It was Kell and the artist you sent me is a colleague of mine named Eric Standley. We both went to the same Graduate school. I absolutely love his work its some of the only laser cut stuff i enjoy.
what an absurdly absurdly small world. well, your work is incredible. are you to be in the publication now that you've been featured on the homepage?

X-acto is your friend....isn't it?
