Hope to see you in the lounge, but that's up to IBM at this stage ;-)
Hullo again Neil- recently I had the most amazing help from Lenovo Customer Support- when I needed a hard drive replaced. Really worthwhile calling them. Here's hoping:)
Have a lovely Christmas Neil! With lots of love, happiness, friends, and family. :))
Thank you so much, dear Jan. I'll do my very best. Wishing you and yours a Merry Xmas too, and a Happy New Year. 2013 is going to be an awesome year for creativity and refining the craft. I appreciate your friendship and kind support sop much. Bless you always. xoxo
Congrats on your new group!!!

Thanks for the comments and stars, The shard Is A building with mixed views, the Sherlock Holmes pub is a interesting place jammed in a narrow street so not that easy to photograph, a sunny day and i was on iso 640 to get a image Regards David
My pleasure, David. It's a while since I've been to the UK so would love to see these buildings myself. Cheers for now :D
Thank you very much for the stars and comments!
You are most welcome, Monique. You've a wonderful portfolio and I admire your talent. Best wishes :D
Many thanks Neil for the visit and the star on Gray. I see you collected it, much appreciated!!!!
It's my absolute pleasure, Julce. Gray is an awesome piece and you've a wonderful portfolio of artwork. I'm envious :D
BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES NEIL - BE SAFE!! We are thinking of you all xxx
Have done, Rosie. The thunder and lightning was amazing. Luckily I didn't get any hail here and rarely do, but the wind and heavy rain was a bit scary. It's calm now but the next round isn't far away. It's been rumbling out west all morning. Summer is almost here, my dear. Cheers for your message :D
Sounds pretty horrific Neil! Stay safe and dry!
Storm season is here, Jethro. I was wondering only yesterday about all the folks who endured hurricane Sandy in the U.S. and how they're managing with the aftermath. That was a massive event and Sandy's legacy lives on and will for many years for some... but the media has dropped it here. There's no news at all about how things are going. That annoys me so much that those real-life stories are shunted aside and all the media wants to cover is politics and sport. It was the same with our floods here last year. After a few weeks the media lost interest, and people who weren't affected asked me "is that still going on?" Human nature I guess. Anyway, I'm doing well here and thanks for your message.
Hope all is well with you, Neil.
Thanks, Carl. Doing well and enjoying the calm while it lasts. The next wave of storms is building up. There was a clap of thunder this morning that I reckon loosened one of my tooth fillings haha. Life is never dull and every day an adventure :D
Stay safe Neil... :))
Thanks, Jan. Last night was intense and the thunder and lightning constant. Lots of hail around Brissy but not at my place. Big storms in Sydney too so I've heard. We needed the rain but not all at once. There's been a constant, unbroken rumble for the last hour and a half out west and it's looking rather black and ominous, so today is going to be the same and another big one is on the way. I worry about all the wildlife and particularly the little hatchlings so am doing a quick look around.
Haven't seen them today but I could hear the boy late night. Things have calmed down today but he's not back on his usual perch. Perhaps tomorrow.
As always Neil, I am appreciative of your visits, kind and thoughtful words and friendship! Thank you!!
Hi Neil- I hope you are feeling ok, and am trying to figure out what your blurb means... my mail might cheer you if you need it.... because your shots from last month, ended up in a life saved today... :) The morning here started off very badly though... i woke up to find our beloved Taka ( six year old rottie) in distress, in obvious pain, confused, and barely able to stand... i tried my best to not panic, and woke Mick as we both tried to understand how to help him... and a few minutes later, I found the undeniable evidence in the kitchen sink.... a large female Huntsman! Although... the exact identification took me a while longer... but once we realized she was a Huntsman, we knew Taka would be ok... and we realized what had happened was that Mick had disturbed the spiders nest last night while he was washing down the decking we are about to restore... cut a long story short... Taka slowly recovered ( the bites are very painful... and he had the full hand of classic symptoms ), and is completely back to normal 12 hours after the bite, and Mick and I found a new home for the leggy gal...( she was happy as Larry on release in nearby bushland with lots of sheltered wetlands terrain around her) and we both toasted to your health dear Neil... as you had helped open our compassion for these creatures with your beautiful shots of Hugo...:)))
I'm OK, Rosie. Had a couple of black days and was taking myself too seriously. Silly me. It's a long time since I've had a blacky like that but it shifted quickly. I do become very obsessive when I'm like that so put a stop to everything. I recognise it now so it's easy to control. I'm so happy to hear that Tara is doing well, and thank you for taking a page out of my compassion book. I'm too compassionate for my own good sometimes but I do count it as one of my greatest strengths. The trick is to channel it wisely. xoxo
Are you Ok hon ?
Yeah I'm alright, Berns. Just having one of my freaky little moments. I don't get them often, in fact rarely since my diagnosis, and i know it'll pass all in good time. Until then I just batten down the hatches. I'm heading back to work tomorrow, and even though I've enjoyed my time off I need some structure and work can provide that. Just as well I like my job. Thanks for asking, darlin'. You're a good soul :D
Hello Neil my friend!! I would like to thank you so very much for the lovely visit and to view my work with heart warming comments and stars,I appreciate it so very much and to view your work is so educating and interesting my friend! I will return often and wish you all the very best.
I'd like that, Derek. Many thanks. My apology for the late reply as well. I'm currently on holidays so my attention has been elsewhere. Cheers for now :D
thanks for the stars and the two artist you introduced are awesome,i wonder how they died i should maybe look them up
Congratulations on your feature - quite emotive works you have posted. Hope all is well with you.
I'm doing very well thanks, Donna. I've put a bit of time and effort into this series of flood pics, and have done my best. It's all done now so time to find something else to work on. Hope all is good with you too :D
Thank you for your thoughtful comments - I appreciate them, and the stars. Being the proud caretaker of a desert tortoise - a wise spirit and steady presence in our lives for over 15 years, I'm a fan of your photos of reptiles. Fascinating and mysterious creatures whom you've captured beautifully.
'A wise spirit'. I really like that!!! And a 'steady presence' is something I totally understand. Animals truly are the most amazing creatures, and sometimes reflect our humanity better than most human can. I'm a spiritual guy so I draw so much inspiration from my natural surroundings, and I like to think when I'm visited by any creature from the animal kingdom they bring with them a message for me to ponder, or even medicine for my spiritual healing (if you go for that sort of thing). Thanks, Patricia. I'm glad that you appreciate these beautiful creatures and my photos. That makes me smile :D
I ran quickly through your portfolio which is great by the way! Cool bio Neil! I'll definitely look through it more over the weekend! Cheers!
Thanks very much, Lisa. You've been very generous with your comments and stars. I appreciate that :D
Thank you for the star - and got to agree with you on "the school of hard knocks," a hard taskmaster, but ever so expedient.
There's no better way to learn than through 'real life' experience. Anything else is just theory. You've beautiful artwork, Patricia. Fresh and clean and really original. Awesome colours :D
Thank you Neil ! Love your great captures , amazing images of the reptiles wow ! Some great close up work , thank you for the words of encouregement !
You are most welcome, Cary. I'm glad you like my pics, particularly the close ups. They're a real challenge sometimes, particularly with a pocket camera but I persevere. Patience is the key. We all encourage one another because there is no competition. We are all unique with fresh ideas and individual approaches to our own art. I find it very inspirational that no one here is selfish, only encouraging. Cheers :D
Thank you very much for your visit...Great you gave comments...Greetings Hans
You are most welcome, Hans. I've thoroughly enjoyed viewing your artwork. It's fresh and clean and beautifully photographed. I love your shots of the Eiffel Tower. I didn't think it was possible to see a fresh perspective on a much-photographed icon. Very inspirational work :D
Thanks for the your visit Neil:)It's interesting to see the ones you noticed:) I really appreciate your feedback!
Thank you very much for your comments & stars. Much appreciated!
You are most welcome, Lucinda. It has been my pleasure to browse through your portfolio. Your photography is inspirational :D
I love your little "About me" segment, it was a wonderful read. You seem to know yourself very well and that is such a special thing. Thank you so much for looking in and my work and for the stars. It is very much appreciated.
It has been my pleasure, Greta. There are 2 simple philosophies I live by, and they are: 'To thine own self be true', and 'Know Thyself'. Knowing them is one thing, but living them is quite another. Cheers for now :D
Neil, thank you for all of the stars and your encouraging words. Your work is very inspiring. Quite magnificent
I'm blushing. Thank you so much, Jeanne. I do my very best, and like Jo's work and your own, it's a personal expression. Thanks for your kind words :D
Thank you so much for the visit, the comment and the star, I appreciate it very much.
Denise, it's been my pleasure. Your artwork is beautiful. I'm envious of anyone who can paint. A wonderful talent. Thanks for viewing my portfolio too, and I appreciate all the stars
Writer's block sucks. Try writing about whatever is bothering you. If that doesn't work try writing about your shoes. It may not be good, but it gets you writing. Same with art. Don't be afraid to make crap. You can throw it away and no one knows.
Cheers, Charlie. That's constructive so I'll give it a try. I can't say that there's one thing that's really bothering me as such, nor am I depressed, but those periods of ennui seem to cloud everything. I'm back at work today and out in the fresh air and sunshine, so I'm sure that will go a long way to shift this mood. Shit art is my specialty LOL. Thanks mate. Have a good one :D
Thanks for the visit Neil ~ Apologies I missed yer birthday cheer ~ Have a great follow up half century mate ... Best Regards Rick
I appreciate that, Rick. Apparently the first 50 are the toughest. I'm happy to go along with that. Cheers mate :D

Hope all is well with you with the floods etc. Please take care Neil. We are thinking of you. OOOOXXX
