I would answer whatever question you have, unless it is about quantum physics. not very good about that.

Thanks! My question waas about quantum physics, but now I've forgotten it. Actually, I had asked about a couple of pieces, hoping for feedback/advice/critiquing but never heard anything so out of frustration...!

I'm trying to educate myself on encaustic. Certainly a lot different than my own media but still has a three dimendioan quality.. I like your work, lots of depth and interest. Any resources you would suggest, books, suppliers?
Thanks

Sure! R&F is where I get my supplies. They have a great website too. My favorite book is Joanna Matera's encaustic book "The Art of Encaustic Painting". Read the book before you dive into encaustics. You have to have the right equipment and proper ventilation. It's an amazing medium though and I really love it! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks. I've visited the R&F siteand I'll look into Matera's book. I did pickup Lissa Rankin's book "Encaustic Art" and am really enjoying it. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

You have a very diverse and interesting portfolio here. They're all so lovely.

Thanks. I keep trying to stay on one track, but continually fall off onto another. Today was encaustics Just dabbled and tore my hair out.

Always wanted to give encaustics a go - one of these days.

It's an amazing medium, but pretty expensive. I keep thinking that when I use up all my wax I'll give it up. So far I keep replenishing my supply though. A friend has just started with "cold wax". Pretty gorgeous! I may give it a try.
