oh so weird, i just saw that on facebook as well last night!!!! i had considered submitting but i'd never heard of the site before...do you know anything about them?

ok...I first noticed their ad here at BC in the events section last month...and when I looked at their site, they seem to have been in operation since at least August 2010. There is a small fee to enter works. They publish winners to FAA, and promote Artists through their monthly competitions which are juried... I am not sure yet by who... I have not seen negative press about them.... and I have viewed beautiful work from international Artists at their site....

...so I bit the bullet and entered their December Seascapes which...as it turned out... one of my works did better than I expected and achieved a fifth placing!

Michele.. I think contests can be a great way to build confidence and raise one;s profile... it always looks great on a CV ... and to potential clients and buyers... xxx

interesting. it's nice to hear a direct experience with them..and congrats on 5th!!!! i'm gonna read up more about them and i may just have to enter....deciding which pieces will be challenging......thanks sooo much for your input on this...i'm always leary with some competitions you see out there....it sounds like they are pretty legit! :)
