Dear Mei Yan, your work is really wonderful and very poetic. I would be interested to know whether it is traditional calligraphy, I mean do you bring predetermined characters in the most perfect form on paper, or do you let the brush move freely. I am working also with signs and symbols. I make the type of "automatic drawing" (a technique of the Surrealists André Breton to) without a conscious thought, and then put them together in my own kind of alphabet. woh, thank u Schaussahm for take time to visit my work . what i did is hold my breath than let the brush move freely(better do it is when i drunk);) , that is the way most chineses calligaraphy artist do . and u might can feeel it hihhi. also chinese character is a symbol .i read ur work already , thery ar very interesting and might something really from ur unconscious thought, which is i do lov it as well .but it takes time to explore hehe. good luck u too

	meiyan Replied: April 21, 2009 hi, sorry for the late reply . just back from a car trip around the scandinavian , i am tired now . hah. anyway,calligraphic to me is not just a character..it is all about what the artist believe , all about the engry throught ur body that is call qi. u might not believe that.i believer only u have a strong believe, than u can really show ur calligraphic strong is . no matter which style it is(too me) .. because i have own . but really in the begin , i start from 欧阳询。
