Self-taught artist living in the metro D.C area. Grew up in the mid-west. Moved to Florida in '90 to pursue working in the Film/Video industry as a PA/Script Supervisor. Moved to metro DC area in'97. Started painting four years ago. Needing an outlet to express my emotions during a tumultuous divorce.
I never thought it would be the passion it has become. I looked at painting as a stop gap. Something to do with the broiling emotions that I couldn't put into words. But it's turned into something much more. I paint to live now. It's a part of my life that brings great nourishment.
I love to be around people, but I'm an introvert at heart. Painting helps me recover from the time spent "out there" in the world. It helps me decompress. And many times, it's my words. A painting is all I have to say on a matter. It's a relief to not have to struggle to find the words to say. Here's my title, here's my offering. The rest is respectfully up to you.
