About me

Hi Im a little bit new to this. Im on here to receive a bit of feedback and meet other painters. I have a 2:1 degree in Fine Art, have studied at many institutions: Including NUCA, The University of Wolverhampton, Intercollege Cyprus and The Jan Matejko Academy. I have also modelled for artists and write prose, poems and short stories.

After all that study I'm very much influenced by the here and now and interested in what had influenced my artistic ambitions early on - pictura ut poesis.

While I am painting or drawing, I tend to concentrate on my senses so that I can grasp the moment and communicate my feelings through creating an image. Usually there is a romantic memory linked in somewhere with my subject matter, an event, a person, a fleeting moment, a narrative.

Attempts to humour my paintings with inaccuracy are to shed light on the seriousness of painting because painting is never right it can be simplistic and childish. Its very much about the application of the material and the enjoyment it gives others.
