Grew up in Vallejo and stayed in the Bay Area until 1988 when I moved to Tracy. Basically self-taught with a few lessons over many years from artists living in Napa, San Francisco and Livermore. Grew up in Vallejo and stayed in the Bay Area until 1988 when I moved to Tracy. Basically self-taught with a few lessons over many years from artists living in Napa, San Francisco and Livermore. Each taught me a different style of painting portrait and landscape. I plan to focus more on art as I ready to retire (soon) and hope to sell and display at some point. Like many types of art and enjoy museums and gallery displays. Fan of Fantasy art, modern, abstract and the old masters. I lived in San Francisco for a time and enjoyed that city very much. My daughter paints at times but she seems to have the knack for art so I hope she continues. My wife quilts and I have to say perhaps with some bias, she is very good.
