Thanks for the stars ! yes it has a lot of history , this is one of hundreds of abandoned buildings at a Bomb and Ammunitions plant ! this place is 2000 acres plus , a huge complex & structures , its was the best , it was active during world War 2 , I found it by accident and spent all day there photographing, it was a time capsule, it also had a presence , you could feel , hear people's voices ! but it was just me alone there , this place was haunted , not in a bad way, in a good way like going back in time ! maybe a lot of residual energy from the past , it was amazing !
Oh that's AWESOME!!!!!! I've been to places like that ... what an experience .. and I think your image truly picked up the essence of what you were feeling!!!! Good photography does that!!!!!!

Lois ... thank you for your kind words for the homecoming ! i am greatly sorry to hear of your cousins passing, My father worked for my grandfather who was in charge of the railway station ,it was during the war II , my father said one night when off loading freight , he off loaded a casket that no one claimed , he was greatly moved that this soldier had no one to come down and claim him , that he died for our country ,and now alone in death sat silently on a cart waiting, no flag just a wooden box, my father joined the marine corp right after that, my father told me that story, and it one day moved me to try to recreate this image. thank you so much for your words of encouragement , always an honor !
Such a moving story ... you have a very beautiful soul to have re created such a poignant and sad moment in time this way. Well, you've immortalized that soldier of long ago ... so beautifully.

Thanks, Trish ... I think we're okay for awhile now ... it's been all around us, but we, thankfully, didn't lose any big trees or sustain any other damage. We're high on a hill, so the flooding missed us as well. Being with electric for days wasn't fun, but ... could have been worse. Crossing fingers that we're out of the woods now, finally!!!!!
