I just finished reading your ' About me ' : my favorite part is your last sentence. You must be a good man to be married to. I also enjoyed reading the descriptions of your way to experience making art.
I sometimes think no one reads anything... but then, once in a while, there is a pleasant surprise.. like this one.
thank u for all the staaaarrrssssssssssssss! im having a crap art day. just tore up a piece iv been working on for 2 days. had a scream fest and came down to see that u had given me a bunch a pats on the back. :) needed that!
i get that feeling often... but I tend to throw the offending work into a pile and let it sit for a few months... then when i go back with fresh eyes, i can either paint over, erase, or otherwise obliterate some and make it work... by then i usually have a totally fresh perspective on my ouvre, and can relaunch the piece somehow... otherwise it's back to the pile again. oh and going for a walk is essential.. especially if there a mocha granita involved!! (*o*)/*
always remember.. moods are just weather. they will blow away as fast as they blew in. give it time...
ha - thanks! yeah ... i m pretty much over it now. just needed to blow off steam. and i do let most works just sit and start others. i have 4 lg ptgs in progress right now. however, these small ones need to come out fast or they die. the funny part was - it is yupo paper and i could not rip the m---thr no matter how hard i tried! lol
wonderful! i have not tried the yupo paper yet.. but I am intrigued! was thinking about liquid graphite if i ever get around to buying a pad of yupo..
Thanks Lance for the comments and stars! De Chiroco I know, but sorry, not your friend from upstate! :-))
Thanks for the stars, and the laugh! I really like what you're doing in these drawings - the self pic perspective, distilling the image to its essence. Very nice.
Arty New Year !!!! Thanks a lot for your lovely comments that you posted on my Bluecanvas wall, your words are so right ! Did you have a blog or a twitter ?
Ha! Arty New Year to you! I am looking forward to what you produce this year. I am sure it will be beautiful. No blog or twitter...
great work i love the whole look of your portraits.
Thanks, I usually start in pencil and then do a bit in Photoshop or Sketchbook Pro... or just pencil...
Lance when are we gonna see some more work?
Well.... I have been painting.... and I'm not sure if I want to post. For one thing the best pics are taken outside in natural light so they don't look sickly and blurry... AND, I'm about 80% finished (which means it's still possible I could paint over the entire thing again). *sigh* I dunno... soon I hope. How about UUU???

Thanks for the stars!!
