Good morning Kristie, I qualify for this Self-Taught group. If you like my work could you invite me in? Thank you daniel
Hello, Kristie, and thanks so much for your recent visit and the new star. It was really nice to see you again!
Thanks for posting your works in progress... it's a rare gift to see into someone elses creative space.
Hey Christie U have a very strong and solid illustrative style... very surreal... I truly can't tell were the illustration ends and the painting begins nice effect through out your work...
Thank you so much Jahc, for the visit and many comments and stars! It was so very kind of you to take the time. I'll have to spend some time in your neck of the woods. All the Best, K
I deleted the art you left a message on at my hood. The answer was yes. Those are the pen and ink illustrations before I watercolour them.
Haven't heard a peep so I am hoping that you have completed your projects for the exhibition and you are proudly exposing yourself!
Thanks for checking in, YES painting is complete, and on time...having trouble photographing it well, I will post a pic soon I hope. Spent yesterday cleaning house and studio, now I am already to start new project!!! Now I've got some catching up to do with BC peeps:) Hope your day is going well, K
Hi Kristie!!! Congratulations!!!
You have your Personal Popular Gallery here in this link:
http://groups.bluecanvas.com/POPULAR/forum/post/1674
You can also find your Photographic Actor Gallery in Group Forum, look for your name.
Inside of your gallery you will be able to select clicking in "select artwork" from your profile images that belong to the group and post them. You can write before the title, description or image link.
Will be a pleasure and honor see your work there!!!
Thanks!!!
Sometimes when I am frustrated at an illustration I will pause, have a cigar and stare at it and- I will look up work from artists that are horrible and artists that are awesome. That usually kicks my brain cells back into action; frustration evaporates quickly. Because when I see what is published by the wretched artists I think- "YOU have got to be kidding me!" and when I see the work of the artist I admire I think- "Now that is inspiring, I can do that".
Hey Kristie- I found a way of dealing with delays that helps...I just see them as destiny calibrating her watches...( yes, Destiny is a she!) ...and soon all will be apparent. Your work is FABULOUS!!!XXX
Thank you so much my dear Rose, I really needed some encouragement and I didn't even know it. I just uploaded my problem child, if you would like a look. Thank You again wonderful Rose:)
Glad to see you back Kristie
thank you my lord, now if i can just follow your lead and get back to the gym as well! Have a great and active day...I'm thinking good thoughts for you!
Thank God yer back....I was lost, wandering and itchy. Actually, that was not me- it was a cat I found in the alley yesterday.
I hope you gave your itchy kitty a good home, or at very least some anti itch cream:)) all kitties need love...even the lost and itchy ones. Hope your day is going great, Best K
I agree, I'm still trying to find balance between being professional, but allowing my personality to come through as well
Yea, definetaly a little lighter, not like mine. Interpersonal realtionships- use that if you are putting a chart together for a global banking firm. Yours should read like you've just set yourself down on one of those comfortable coffee house chairs and your gently blowing the rising steam from your cup.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my work!! Every star is a big smile on my face so thank you!!!!!!
Your very welcome, wonderful works, like your style! and I thank you for your visit as well:)) Regards, K
K- you work is great. You know I love it but, the new works seem to have an extra smidgeon of "awesomeness". BAM! You've kicked it up a notch. Where'd that extra "awesomeness" come from? Did you have it tucked away somewhere? Like in the purse? Under all the tissues and gum wrappers? K
Thanks so much K, I greatly appreciate the compliment:) To answer your question...my "awesomeness" is still in it's development stage. One I am a self-taught artist with no formal training in drawing or painting, and two I've been painting for a short time only (started painting 5 yrs ago, only consistently and full time for a little over a year). I'm still developing my style, and my skill is improving with each painting or drawing I do. There's quite a lot bouncing around in my head, and I'm still trying to figure out how I want to communicate that through my work, and gain the skill to get the picture in my head to match the final result on the canvas. I am encouraged by what I feel is a sharp learning curve, that others always seem to like my work, the fact that I have always sold (even my very first painting), been privileged to show my work in several venues with great response, and above all I love what I do. It's all tucked away in my head slowly making it's way out:). My purse...wallet, hand cream, antibacterial gel, ginger chews, iphone, umbrella, gummy bears, makeup bag...you know typical girl survival kit... Best, K
