Karl August is a self-taught artist, painter, sculptor, photographer, videographer. Though he holds a BS in Mathematics, he has always had an interest in art but never believed he had any talent worth sharing. He is currently attending a local Jr College to fine tune his craft.

Karl August is a self-taught artist, painter, sculptor, photographer, videographer. Though he holds a BS in Mathematics, he has always had an interest in art but never believed he had any talent worth sharing. He is currently attending a local Jr College to fine tune his craft.

The journey began in spring of 2011. While attending a Drawing I class (suggested by his daughter to get him out of the house more), he "discovered" soft pastels at a local art supply store and thought he'd give color a try since the drawing class was all about black and white.

The art shown here has been created since that date. He is curently working on a local show featuring ballerinas and modern dance done in acrylic on canvas.
