Thank you! I love your works, as well >_< Do you usually paint entirely on Arches paper? Do you use watercolor, or acrylics? You keep the colors so neat!

I really like the lyrical nature of your work. It has a sense of sensitivity and story.
Thank you dllong! I do try to make the art meaningful, and lots of it is due to my personal experiences.
I loved your art, sensitive, lively, artful, with alot of soul. Congratulations. Also thank you for your support and comments.
You're welcome. I love the lines and emotion in your work too. I'm glad you said "a lot of soul"... that is the goal for my work!
Hey - I'm back - I don't have a lot of time, so I'll leave a bunch of stars and comments later. :) I really like your work; I think your bold graphical sense, especially with line and color, works great, and obviously your draughtsmanship is really strong. I like your paintings more than your illustration work (as you are dividing them up on your website) because you also have a great sense of controlled chaos, which comes out most strongly where you let the paint run in the paintings. I think there is a way to get to the same sense of energy in the illustrations, and I think you're hitting that in a couple of them, but I don't think you've got a complete idiom yet for how to make that work. Some of your lines in the illustrations remind me of Adrian Tomine and Tomer Hanuka, who both have a lot of focus in their image-making on energy in the bounds of control. Your photographs are awesome... The western/Japanese project is very interesting too, and I think it gives you a lot of room to work. I'm a big fan of Masami Teraoka, who has made a career out of a fascinating exploration of the theme, interpreted in his own way. Anyhow, your work is really exciting and I'm glad to have gotten a chance to know it a bit - good luck, and thanks again for all your kind words -
Daniel
Hey Daniel, thank you so much for taking the time to analyze my work. Coming from you, it is a huge compliment. I also feel my "soul" more in the wild drips of watercolor paint. I think I'll focus more on those. I will check out the artist you mentioned. Hope to speak with you again soon!
Is the JUURI back with the verdict? ;)
Haha, this is why I didn't do JURI, which is the way most Japanese people think my name is spelled, but JUURI is the correct Japanese spelling! >_<
Hello, Julie. I don't know if you remember me. We had a few college classes together. ;) Thanks for the heads-up about this site!
Hmm... I vaguely remember you. I don't recognize you by your profile photo. ;D Welcome to the site! I'll add you.
Well, I don't blame you for not recognizing my photo. That plastic surgeon really botched the nose job!
Juuri thanks so very much for the words.
Best,
Jason
You're so welcome. You are also the reason that I know about Blue Canvas. The magazine cover was amazing.

i hope to see more work... non objective or otherwise i like them all
