I'm artist pursuing a doctorate in art education at the University of Illinois. Both my scholarly research and artwork are related in that they investigate the interconnectedness of teaching, learning, art-making, and research practices. Specifically, my artwork is a thematic narrative dealing with issues of philosophy, humor, religion and personal growth and identity. My goal as a scholar is to connect this body of work to educational theory to validate the identity of the working artist-teacher. I've shown in galleries throughout the northeast and continue to look for new venues to share my playfully sarcastic vision. Cheers.
