As the mother of a toddler and a full-time graphic artist, I am glad to find time to paint the joyful scenes that I see every day. I want to capture the excitement and beauty in the fleeting moments that we sometimes overlook.
Painting isn't my full-time job, but it's a fun diversion. As such, it's nice to be able to paint whatever I want and not worry about if it will sell - and I like it that way.
I graduated in 2004 from UNC Pembroke with a degree in Fine Arts. My studies abroad in Germany helped to develop my style. The watercolorist that I most admire is Carol Carter, though I have not gotten a chance to meet her.
