Fine Artist born and raised in Indonesia and currently living in Connecticut.
Within her paintings, she creates her own world. She sees life and this world in general can become inevitably complicated and depressing at times. She needs to paint her own beautiful happy world, an imaginary world that soothes her heart whenever she visits it, a place where she can allow herself to fully embrace her adolescent spirit in exploring her feelings and seeing things around her. Without her ability to paint, she would be unhappy being trapped in her struggle to express her feelings, which most of the time are somewhat cryptic and indefinable. She needs to paint to create that world and achieve harmony within herself. Her world is influenced by various sources: her Indonesian roots, her childhood dreams and memories, such as children's books and Japanese manga, and her life experiences are just a few things that you may be able to sense when you gaze into her world.
She works mainly in oils to bring color, vibrancy, and depth to her mysterious world. With figures as her primary subjects, she intuitively builds the characters and the whole environment of her world from the beginning to the end of each painting. The main subject exudes serenity, melancholy, and intensity, while the additional elements blend with the central figure in a peaceful and sometimes whimsical environment.
