Gizem studies Graphic Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She was born in İstanbul in 1988. She has been into playing the piano, art and ballet since she was 3. Until the age of 12, she went to a couple of drawing and dance classes and taught herself how to play the piano. She also had a strong interest in languages and even though she was studying foreign languages, she eventually decided to apply to an Art faculty as her interest in Art had never left her. After the start of her university course, she got into illustration, especially minimalist illustration and using texture. She continued studying graphics and now creates animations too. Even though she doesn’t really have the time, she also tries to make minimal music… Basically she’s still trying to create her own world, trying to add new things to her everyday life. And if all that wasn’t enough, she’s also learning Japanese and Chinese…
