Prof.Gregory Pelizzari teaches a Renaissance Painting Technique for Contemporary Artists, called the "Technique Mixte",which employs a tempera underpainting over which oil colors are glazed, to achieve a profoudly intricate level of detail and greater luminosity of color than oil paint alone can produce.
