The MIGreatArtist™ is one of Oakland County's premier quality of life events. County Executive L. Brooks Patterson began the competition to promote the Oakland County and encourage creativity in the residents who live, work or attend school in the Economic Growth Alliance region. MIGreatArtist™ is an online art competition for visual artists,18 years+, creating 2-D artworks. Entrants will be able to upload up to 5 images and descriptions of their work for public voting. From the top 20 artists, a 5-member jury of arts professionals will select 5 finalists. The winner will be determined by a combination of jury score and public vote.
