Crystal, Michigan, 4/28/2012 — SUBMISSIONS INVITED. To encourage Arts and Culture in Central Michigan, the 2012 LINKED IN CHARITY MEMORIAL DAY ARTS FESTIVAL is inviting online submissions through Sunday, May 20, 2012. Entries will be evaluated by festival sponsors Michael Astley and Brian Allen. The outstanding entries will be displayed online at www.linkedincharity.org. The 2012 LINKED IN CHARITY MEMORIAL DAY ARTS FESTIVAL will be held during Memorial Day Weekend and is open to any high school, college, and university students living or working in the Central Michigan area. In order to make this event accessible to all students there will be no entry fee per single entry per enrolled student. All art media is encouraged and will be reviewed. In fact, unusual or atypical art forms are encouraged. The artwork chosen for display will be exhibited online both nationally and internationally via the far-reaching LINKED IN CHARITY network of artists, entertainers, businesses, and philanthropies. Artists, art teachers, and other community leaders are invited to encourage students to submit digital photos via email of their best work for review. All submissions are due by Sunday, May 20, 2012. Each entry must include at least three digital photos of the work (or another appropriate media file, in the case of music and performance art), an optional photo of the student (including NAME, AGE, TEACHER, AND SCHOOL). Finally, all submissions imply permission to display and publicize the work for the purposes of this festival.
