Born April 23 1957 in Saskatoon, Canada. Thomas w. Billings is a self taught multi-media artist who first discovered his artistic talent sculpting clay. He began painting in the early 1980's. Working in ink, acrylics, and oil, Thomas has painted from the imagination, finding inspiration in wood grain and paint splatters.
As a member of the Prairie Sculptor Association, Thomas created large sculptures at their Symposiums.
Thomas has also worked in video and film, winning awards for early work in Sask. , he went on to studying at the Vancouver Film School ,working on short film and music videos doing Prop building and set design.
In 1999 Thomas started flamework glassblowing, in 2000 Pixie Glassworks was formed . Thomas and his partner Irja Kriegel can be found at festivals selling fine glass art from thier gypsy caravan in Western Canada. To find where we will be next check out our website http://pixieglassworks.com ....
Thomas is planning a new series of painting using oil on wood.
