About me

I am Henley Beach (Adelaide, South Australia) based artist and I have a studio/home very close to the sea and I work in mixed medium painting.

My work has received, over time, several art awards and I have had the privilege of not only exhibiting in my own home town and other states of Australia, but also on six occasions overseas.

Countries where I have exhibited include America (three occasions), Spain, Korea and Indonesia. My last exhibition was held at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, in Chelsea New York (May - June 2010).

I paint murals (community based murals and private, in Australia and the USA) and I also write poetry and have from time to time contributed articles to local papers and an arts magazine. I have also directed arts festivals and curated a number of important art exhibitions in South Australia and the largest exhibition which I curated was "Post Cards Of A Nation" which was a national exhibition celebrating 100 years of federation in Australia.

Hi jon, thanks for visit and yes, I love living at Henley Beach and have lived here since 2001 and prior to that my family lived here when we first came to Adelaide. When I think of my family generally (in UK, USA, Italy, Canada and Australia) we all live near the sea. Ah! salt in the blood and of course in the art.
