About me

I am an artist, illustrator and graphic designer. I paint in oil, watercolor & acrylic and also work digital with Photoshop, Illustrator & Flash with themes ranging from circus, sideshow and other unusual characters to my ongoing series called "lost robot". I have been in many gallery shows around Southern California for the last few years with many more coming up this year.

I love designing characters and will usually start all of my paintings with sketches of a character that pops into my head and go from there. Clowns have always been a fascinating subject for me because people either love or hate them. There's not indifference. Recently I've been exploring ideas around yearbooks and I'm working on a project that involves a school called "The Free Spirit Popular Dreamers Academy". The yearbook is set in 1971 and has a good variety of unusual situations and wonderful characters throughout. I'm planning to publish an actual book for this along with the paintings which will premiere in my solo show at Platform in Highland Park this September.
