It's great to see familiar faces. So wonderful to hear from you, Robin. Hope you're having a great summer in that country that inspires so much of my work.

Thanks, Lois, for the kind words. It's great to see familiar faces here. I only joined a couple of days ago, so I'm just finding my way around!
Welcome David - how lovely it is to have you here! I cannot wait to get a link to your blogs for writers - what a gift that is to those of us who dream!
Very kind of you, Lianne. I will help as many aspiring writers as I can - that is the only way I can repay the many people who inspired me as a child. The link to the 19-part series on my blog is http://david-mcmahon.blogspot.com/search/label/Telling%20Write%20From%20Wrong
http://david-mcmahon.blogspot.com/search/label/Telling Write From Wrong is the link, Lianne. I'm not entirely sure how to post urls here!
Hi David- welcome to BC! I never realised before about your background- and must congratulate you on the Walkley Nomination- quite an achievement to have had! Would love to hear more about that at some stage...I don't know whether you plan to post any Creative Writing here, but thought I might mention that BLUE Group has a Writers Forum we call the Xpress, where it may be suitable to post excerpts from more substantial Blog posts, and you would certainly be most welcome to post or visit this Forum, which until now has been a venue for Poetry, but I am wishing to expand on that somewhat, as long as the Writing is original..... I shall pop an invite to BLUE Group through for you in a minute, and below I will just add some links that might be useful to you as a newcomer at BC, to help you settle in. Cheers, Rosie :))

That's great, Rosie - I need all the tips I can get. Only been here for just over a day! Friday Lounge sounds great fun!
Thanks for the kind words about the Walkley, Rosie. Xpress sounds like a great forum. One of the things I try and do personally (and on my blog) is to encourage and advise writers from around the world. I actually wrote a 19-part series on my blog, answering (in detail) specific and common queries from writers around the world.
Wow- I shall be hopping across to read that BLOG soon's I get a chance David- that sounds invaluable! I am not a Writer myself, but love to support it in arena's such as this. It will be such a thrill to have you join us !! David is there an online link for your Walkley work? Would love to see it. We have followed it over the years when we could.
