Hi Carol, just thinking about you, wondering how you're doing...
Hi Frederique...thank you for thinking of me. I have been taking one day at a time, trying to move forward. Busy working, busy working on new concept for mixed media pieces, busy trying to put my life back together. I hope one day soon, I can get back fully and see evevryones artwork. I hope you and yours are doing well.
Hello! Our first critique is today : http://groups.bluecanvas.com/Professional-Critique/forum/post/2680 I hope you will be able to attend! It is from 2-5pm EST. I hope to see you there!
Oh I apologize Lindsey...I have been out of town and haven't been online. Sorry I missed the critique.
Thanks for dropping by and commenting, Carol. I hope you're doing okay, it's nice to see you here.
I'm not ok...but I tell people I am because that is what they want to hear. I'm tired of saying that. Thank you for caring. Love your new works.
Thank you for answering honestly. I know it can't be easy, but be true to yourself as much as is possible.
Just glad you're dropping in from time to time... a little art therapy can't hurt. Sending a hug your way, Carol!
Thank you, Frederique...I hope to become more regular after a while. Still going through so much. I did post a new image a few minutes ago, in the "dedicated to Jimmy" folder.
Cookie, I cannot begin to say I know how you feel, becuase it is different for everyone. I am soooo sorry for your loss. It must be nearly unbearable. As fRed says below, one day at a time and one breath at a time.
Carol, I'm so sorry... there are no words... Take one day at a time... one breath at a time... I hope you can turn to family and to your art for some comfort.
My family has been wonderful, but I don't want to burden them. I have created my first piece since my husbands passing called, "A Love Story" and I just received email that it is going to be published in a book, but I won't know more until later. So knowing my husband Jimmy was my biggest supporter, I think he would of loved this. It is in memory of him.
Carol, I'm sending you lots of hugs, love, prayers, and warm thoughts...You have my deepest sympathies, truly. xoxo
Dear Cookie- many of us have been missing you and thinking of you so much, as you can see. Sending love and courage xxxxxxxxx
I am so very sorry Cookie and so sad for you. I am so ashamed to think that I did not know of this and how I could have missed it is beyond me. But you are and will remain in my prayers and healing thoughts.
Cookie, Kim and I are so sad to here the news, If there is anything we can do for your please let us know. Our prayers are with you

So very sorry Carol to hear about your loss... please feel warm, caring hugs from you bc friends. xoxo
Oh my god, Cookie! I am SO sorry! I am totally shocked to hear this news. I can only tell you that I will be thinking of you! I don't know how I would deal with a situation like this. All my thoughts are with you.
The social issues-topic-crude and REAL of this file is an outstanding sour anthem to our own myopia....hope we can fix that together soon.
Yes, Adolfo...it is crude and real. In this series, the birds are society, the issues are real, and the wires remind us "we" are ALL connected. We must move forward and press on in hopes of a better world. Thank you my dear friend for coming by the gallery and for your generosity. xo
thanks for all the love on the page. we really appreciate you asking questions as well. it's always nice to dialogue about the work
You're very welcome... I also enjoy hearing about other artists and their technique and process! Thanks for sharing your awesome works!
Cookie-welcome to WORK IN PROGRESS! Your personal WIP Forum is now available for you to start posting here:) http://groups.bluecanvas.com/WORK-IN-PROGRESS/forum/post/2089
Cookie thank you. I am trying to do the best I can what ever I do.Sometimes is hard but eventually I am happy when nice people like you recognize my effort. I visited your blog and noticed that you are very active person. Having a book is a great thing and I congratulate you. I also watched video you recommended. Waiting for your new art work :)
Congratulations on getting published, Cookie! This is an amazing series. I'm sure the book will be fantastic! I'm very happy for you!
I know exactly how many stars i sprinkled 41. There were 41 pieces in that series and I looked at every one of them. if there would have been 141, then I would given that many stars. Absolutely outstanding work.
I love the images of your "Society Series". Not only are they beautiful and evocative images with excellent color choices they are rich in meaning and depth. They use of the birds is very interesting to me. To me represent evil or at least oppression, especially the swarms of them. Using them as recurring image is very effective. I hope I did't offend you if I misread the symbolism of the birds. Even if I'm wrong they are still very beautiful and powerful images images
Thank you, and I'm elated that you shared your thoughts on the series, I created it so others can relate to it in their own way, since birds are very symbolic in many different ways, different thoughts about them can apply to different images. They represent not only evil, freedom, hope, but also messengers, and the list goes on. They in themselves are a society. The wires can represent a connection or even power. These things we see everyday and pass by them without a thought, is similar to the "in your face" news media, it's there and at times you can get immuned to all the troubles because there is so much going on all the time. In fact, that was the origin of this series. I couldn't escape the events of the day so I chose to produce something positive for me, an escape route.
Thanks for the explanation of the different symbols. I find them even more interesting now. They are well thought out and and expressed in each image. Again a beautiful and rich series. I this e series done or are you working on more. I saw the st
Whoops, I saw your wordpress sight and the story about being surprised by a story about your work, that must have been a great surprise
This will be an ongoing series, but I am currently creating a book for 45 of the images to the series. Next year this series will start to evolve into mixed media pieces. So I'm excited.

Congatulations ;)))) - have a wonderful weekend ;)
