My love and passion for art came when I was very young. It came from a home life that was full of artistic expression; a place where imagination was a free bird and extremely encouraged. As I grew older, my presence in the studio became more familiar and comfortable to me; the smell of the paint, the tapping noise from dipping the brush in a can of paint thinner, and music blasting through speakers. Another one of my memories was hearing the squeaky noise that my father’s wooden chair would make while he was painting.
I discovered myself developing an obsession for painting, music and dance. I needed to express myself artistically, so I would paint and draw, dance, listened to music and look at magazines for inspiration. All of these different things helped satisfy my need to create. Expressing my feelings is most important to me when I envision my future in painting. I paint expressing my happiness, my pain and my fears. bearing my soul by painting my emotions with music my music, I subconsciously tell my story through my paint."
To create new, refreshing and exciting art is what I want for myself as well as my audience. Setting high expectations, goals and the hunger to satisfy keeps my passion strong. Painting is a part of my life.
