I absolutely loved our work when i saw this in the mag. It was so clever cutting up the pieces. I wish i would've thought of that.

Great idea, it turns a great painting into even a better painting, Have you done a series of the same painting in many different reassembly?

Posted by calcavecchia on November 17, 2010

You must be reading my mind Gill, I have been wanting to do a series just like that...and one where I paint several paintings of the same pose and then intermix the strips from the paintings to make multiple pictures of that pose. Thanks for the comments, all the best.

Posted by gillsanchez on November 18, 2010

Great Idea! I would paint them in different styles and tones, but keep the basic colors the same.

Posted by gillsanchez on November 18, 2010

Thanks for the stars!

Wonderful portraits! I really think that the way you deconstruct & reassemble your images adds psychological dimension.

The strenght of your paintings is overall, from characters to subtly structured compositional solution.

thanks Israelian, what a nice compliment! Especially after looking at your work, you know/feel composition very well!
