I graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.A. in religious studies in 2007. Although I've been into art all my life, I only started seriously pursuing it after graduating. Over the past few years I've been teaching art and yoga while simultaneously furthering my own art education and trying to get as much studio time in as possible.
I work in anything I can get my hands on but consider myself primarily a painter. At any given time I probably have about 8 or 9 works in progress, usually in a variety of media including acrylic, oil, watercolor, photography, jewelry, pastel and found/natural objects. I have also recently taught myself to sew so I'm breaking into garment design, and am currently teaching myself calligraphy!
I draw inspiration from my environment and travel whenever I can. I also get the creative itch from music, literature, viewing the work of other artists, yoga and meditation.
Basically I love art and everything about it :-)
