I agree with Louie...an "star all" option should be included. :) I can hear the water in your paintings! P.S. I like that your favorite book is Horton Hears A Who ;)

Excuse me if you do not invite before, I've been busy. Thanks!!!
Damn, you're like the master painter of water. Is it possible to share your techniques of painting water?
I wouldn't say I have any particular 'technique' and I approach the subject in a number of different ways, depending on the image. If you have a specific question I don't mind sharing.
It seems you have such a wide range on painting still water, rippling water, violent water and waves. Do you layer all your colors or do you map out all your values and then mix your colors according to the value? Everything is so clean and nice looking.
I don't do a lot of planning and I don't usually do a whole lot of layering either. There isn't actually a whole lot of paint on the canvasses, often you can see the base colour (red or yellow) showing through at the edges of things. Turbulent water is definitely painted in a more expressive, painterly way. I just start and see how it goes. No premixing.
Hi Tammy !!! Congratulations!!!

Nice to hear from you Tammy, it's been ages!
Oh, no worries! I was just pleased to hear from you. I think you were my first peer when I joined back in February :)
thanks for the stars, how's the press?
lovely, but as yet still unassembled in my basement. My husband is going to drywall a section of basement first, before I set it up - because, at 700 pounds it is not something I ever want to move again! (but I can't wait!)
hey, have you gotten your press yet? btw, your work is just gorgeous!
Thanks! I'm picking it up on Thursday. I am so excited! It's been almost a decade since I've used one and it's pretty big 30" X 60" press bed, so I'll be able to do some decent sized work.
I read your message on my blog and was in the process of responding to you and somehow I deleted the whole thread when I was trying to edit what I had wrote! duh, thanks for the comment. I DID read and appreciate it very much!
Thank you for the visit and stars~ You have so much in your gallery, it's rather jaw dropping to see how amazing your pieces are. You work with water so naturally. May have to bug you one day to be my mentor (; You have a ton of gorgeous pieces~ Keep it up!

Love your work, especially the bold color... your water paintings are kind of awesome.
