I would agree. They go hand in hand. like to believe that the texture in an abstract help it's viewer become part of the process itself and feels what the creator was trying to say. Much like when God created man.

Lol my digital images are coninuing to morph, into unpredictable twitches...i like it when a viewers see something i did not, then i see it too. Then tell them i did not create it on purpose.
