Worky-work

Recieved confirmation for a space in a local arts and crafts bazaar. Small town atmosphere with local artisans and gardeners with their veggies and plants. If you 're in the west GA area stop by!

I entered my work for display, not a show, at a couple local galleries: Bradley St. Gallery, Carrollton and Side Street Gallery, Bowden. Since I haven't been hitting up the big city galleries much, I figured I should have some sort of representation. Maybe I might make some Xmas $. Nothing else new other than this cold front we're having makes it a little too cold to paint outside.

Artists of mention:

Morris Graves. If you have not heard of him I urge you to look him up. He was an abstract expressionist of sorts whose work can be described as mystical and spiritual. The images he created consisted mostly of birds and flowers but he did very interesting drawings and paintings of other animals. I came across Morris Graves' work on a suggestion from one of my professors while in college. I feel his work had a big impact on my art and theory.
