Light & Other Loves

Light pours deeply into my awareness, unlocks memory and magically shapes every tomorrow. Patterns of light enliven the soul. When these images from Sonnenberg presented themselves on July 4, 2012, I found myself without chalks, paper or paint. Arriving with no intention other than to walk about among the tall trees and immerse myself in the love of plants, place and quiet, I recall the vibrating light and its honesty, urging me with all its vigor to explore shape through the lens of my small camera.
May you be open to the caress of the light recorded in these remarkable moments. I find myself full of astonishment that I could be in such a beautiful place at the very moment in time when the light made the images visible.
