I once had a dream
Dream of a dream
That’s coming true
And no one could take away
From me this Dream I knew
Knew to be real
Real to my wish
For a day that never ends
The way it starts
The same shit every time
Everyone wants picket fences
Flower gardens in their front yard
A life that means anything
Anything at all
And it don’t matter if it matters
We all want the silver platters
Crystal chandeliers to show our friends
That we have
Made it to the other side
Survived the roller coaster ride
Living to succeed
Fucked up necessity
For status
And
Bullshit self esteem
I once had a love
Love of a life
Life of a love
That sustained me from
Giving up
On EVERYTHING and EVERYONE
Everyone that came before
Didn’t matter anymore
Anymore than anything that matters at all….
Is it worth it in the end?
Life is just pretend
We all get there….
Eventually
If life is just a dream
Then dreams can be a life
Let’s all wait and see………………..
