Ideas for New Projects

I'm working on ideas for new drawings. Much like "The Death Card", I'm interested in exploring a doodle drawing that illustrates an actual, factual story. My daughter was watching a cartoon in which the kids sang "Ring Around the Rosie" but they used words I had never heard before in place of "ashes, ashes". I thought this was terrible as they were taking away from the historical significance of the initial song...or were they? It made me wonder what was the actual wording of the song, the meaning behind it, and so forth. So I started researching "Ring Around the Rosie" and found it has quite a past, a very highly debated one. Always being one to prefer the more interesting, darker version of stories (always need a good scare factor!), I decided to draw a doodle based on the alleged tale of "Ring a Ring o'Roses" and the Black Death.

While researching, I found many other tales that have interesting pasts and, depending on the outcome of the Ring drawing, I may explore this further!
