Bolin's Grace

As I gazed upon you
and held your tiny feet,
my heart was filled with
immeasurable love.
I had no words to say
to express how much
I love you, now, today.

Lovingly, divinely you were
created. The communion of
our Lord, your mom and me,
brought you to us today.

My heart fills my eyes
with amazement
of His goodness
with amazement
that now and forever
you are with us.

As the days go before us,
my heart is dedicated,
to loving you, guiding you in
the way you should go.

To be the Daddy you need
the Daddy to hold you
on this earth. To point
you to right, to help you
to stand when you fall.

To hear you say your first
words and to listen to you
when you share your secrets,
To see you smile and
your eyes light up. Hear your
laughter, and rock you to sleep.

And, as we watch you grow
our special little girl,
with hopes and dreams,
and with life's storms
I still will be committed
to you, your Daddy.

Our Choir Director, John Bolin at First Baptist Houston and wife Page Bolin had their first baby girl, Grace, on
Wednesday May 1, 2012, 6:37 p.m.

During rehearsal they showed a snap shot of baby and Father, precious. John who is only 25 years old is
one of the most nurturing, dynamic and encouraging people and leader I know. For his age he is so mature.
Gazing at this snapshot, I was struck by his love for his new born baby that I wrote this for them.
