Lift me Up

(Inspired from Josh Groban, "You Lift Me Up" for the writing contest at Blue Xpress)

Down on the ground
lid weight

Then...Suddenly
a swift gulf of
your wings lifts
me up and
I soar over the mountains
tracing the clouds
the sun lightening
on my shoulders

The crisp winds
sing and your shoulders
carry me higher
then before
all heaviness
falls like metal clubs
and I glide
and dance among the
clouds and sing
among the birds
