Anymore, anyless
April 12, 2012
This week I told my dear friend Morraha that I suffered from a sort of writers block and told her that I could do with an 'assignment' including a deadline (I find myself more creative with a deadline ahead).
She took that very seriously :-) and came with the following link:

And so ...... here it is. It's way past my bedtime now, I couldn't stop, it had to be finished:
Anymore, Anyless
We met in a field full of poppies
I found you and you looked at me
That was when our souls reconnected
In magical dreams we were free
For hours we'd talk, share and laugh
Our lives seemed to be intertwined
Until that moment I had to wake up
And found that I had been blind
I stood there in my dark red dress
That dress I was supposed to lose
But when I chose to keep it on
The magic transformed into blues
The pain, denial and the disbelief
The guilt, the why's, the fears
The anger and the loneliness
Have left my soul through tears
Your words now only whisperings
The memories did slowly fade away
Even the ones that were so sweet
Fewer associations every day
Yet some of them remain forever
If I see poppies or a bumble bee
The hurt is gone and I can smile
You'll always be a part of me

Oh my. You ought to be deadlined more often. This is wonderful Mieke and I can relate so easily. I love your imagery, especially of the dress.

Letting go is very VERY hard (especially for me), but it seems possible :-)
