NEED A TICKET TO THE ARTSHOW!

This blog is regards to these art competitions that requirements for entering are becoming a major acheivement in itself. I have been painting professionally for over twent-five years and have noticed these change when entering art competitions. At first, you had to enter by slides, put title and dimensions on the slide. No stickers on them, just writing. Then, came putting your entrys on cd's.At first, it was just suppose to be done on jpeg (no problem), Now, they have to be done in certain pixels, certain dimensions (ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS SEE THE WORK!!!) I recently entered an exhibition and the entry fee was 30 dollars for 3 works. I entered and waited ffor the results. I received a letter that said I didn't make the grade for the competition, not because of my art, but because my pixels were wrong (THAT'S CRAZY!) I will continue to enter art competitions, not because I'm a computer wiz,but because I'm an artist!. I guess entering competitions is not a guarentee into the show, but please don't reject an artist because of his or her computer skills
