Melaleuca Tree
Melaleuca Tree, Melaleuca Tree,
Pussy likes to climb to the top of the
Melaleuca Tree, Melaleuca Tree.
(I originally wrote this as a little chant for children, and it can be recited repeatedly, in many different rhythms, as it is fairly versatile.)
(It is, of course, one of the things that SquirtyNutterz, the MadCat, used to often do, as we had a big Melaleuca tree out the front of our old house, in the street where Squirty now lives with his new family... who agreed to adopt him, when I realised it was too dangerous to allow him to keep crossing a major road, every time he ran away to return to his old house, when we moved to our new house a few streets away!)

Trish it is such a charming piece - it is no wonder they love the scraggly old trees... I think they were made with Cats in mind!
