Image details
Description: A Ghost Moth on a Camellia leaf in my garden in Brisbane QLD Australia. Until I took this macro photo, I had no idea how scaley moths and butterflies really are. No wonder they can negotiate spider webs without being caught... sometimes.
Photo taken with Canon IXUS 80 IS and edited with Lightzone. SIMPLICITY is my niche! Very little editing other than darkening the background foliage and some very gentle sharpening. Otherwise, it's pretty much 'as is'.

Fantastic - love the little fuzzies around the eyes and the light is perfect!

They are really scaley. I had no idea until I took this macro. No wonder they can fly amongst spider webs and not get trapped. Nothing will stick to them! This fellow was a beauty. He's pretty much as is, but I just darkened the background to give some grunt. Glad you like it :D
